Governor Parson Grants Three Pardons for Month of July

Jefferson City, Mo. (KFMO) - For the month of July 2024, Governor Mike Parson granted three pardons pursuant to Article IV, Section 7 of the Constitution of the State of Missouri.

Official documents have been filed with the appropriate government agencies and have been sent to the individuals. The three pardons include; Tanya Teegarden, Tony Underwood and Derek Cornelius.

In addition to granting three pardons, Governor Parson denied 40 clemency applications. The Governor's Office holds fewer than 100 pending clemency applications. When Governor Parson was sworn into office, he inherited a clemency backlog of more than 3,500 and has received hundreds more since.

Governor Parson has prioritized providing individuals an answer, whether approved or denied.
