Missouri Statewide Measures on November Ballot

Jefferson City, Mo. (KFMO) - There are 6 statewide measures on the November ballot in Missouri. 5 are constitutional amendments.

Amendment 2 would allow liscensed sports wagering restricting it to people in the state over the age of 21. The amendment would also allow liscensing fees, and a 10% wagering tax, to be appropriated for education.

Amendment 3 would give repoductive healthcare decisions completely to the individual, including abortions and contraception, without government interference. It also allows no person be held accountable for performing, or assisting, in any birth outcome, including, but not limited to, miscarriage, stillbirth, or abortion.

Amendment 5 would create a new gaming boat liscense for a location at the Lake of the Ozarks. State liscensing fees would go to childhood literacy programs.

Amendment 6 implements court fees that would be collected for the purpose of supporting salaries and benefits for certain current and former law enforcement personnel.

Amendment 7 concerns ranked choice voting. In ranked choice voting the candidate with the majority of first choice votes wins. A 'yes' vote stops the expansion of ranked choice voting in Missouri. A 'no' vote would allow municipalities and the state to possible consider it in the future.

Missourians will also vote on Proposition A. If passed the measure would increase the minium wage in the state to $13.75 an hour starting January 1, 2025. It would also allow future changes in the wage.
