(Gainesville, FL) The Missouri Tigers earned their second win over an AP Top 5 opponent of the season after beating the Florida Gators 83-82 on Tuesday night.
Caleb Grill led the Tigers with 22 points, Mark Mitchell had 15 points and eight rebounds, Anthony Robinson II had 12 points, and Tamar Bares finished with 10 points.
Missouri held on despite being outscored in the second half 48-33. The Tigers jumped to an early lead and carried it to halftime with a 50-34 first half scoring lead.
Walter Clayton Jr. led the Gators with 28 points, Alijah Martin had 14 points, Will Richard contributed 12 points, and Rueben Chinyelu collected a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
The Tigers were 27/61 from the field and 11/29 from outside the arc with 41 total rebounds.
Missouri (14-3, 3-1 SEC) play Saturday afternoon against Arkansas.
