Angstrom Sentenced in Death of Boyfriend

(Farmington, MO) The Woman charged with murdering her boyfriend in a Terre Du Lac trailer court in 2019, 52 year old Kimberly Angstrom, is sentenced to life in prison for the crimes of murder in the second degree and armed criminal action. Angstrom had made an Alford plea in the case meaning she wasn't admitting guilt however she acknowledged there was enough evidence to convict her at trial. Law enforcement officials had said Angstrom allegedly stabbed her boyfriend, 55  year old Kevin Ziegler, to death early the morning of Friday, February 1st of 2019. The injuries included a punctured artery in Ziegler's lower neck. The report also indicated Angstrom, who was found at the residence, admitted to the stabbing. Reports from 2008 show Angstrom was involved in a stabbing incident during a drinking episode and had attempted to stab her boyfriend and another person. She had been charged in the past with domestic assault, unlawful use of a weapon, and tampering with a vehicle. Angstrom was sentenced last Friday.
