Authorities on Scene of a Massive Fire at Critical Mineral Recovery

Fredericktown, Mo. (KFMO) - Authorities are on the scene of a massive fire at Critical Mineral Recovery, in Fredericktown. This is near the intersection of Highway OO and Highway 72. 

Everyone is out of the facility, with no injuries or fatalities reported. Several fire departments from the surrounding area are currently battling the blaze. The city of Fredericktown is fine, but if you are north of Critical Mineral Receovery and see and/or smell smoke, you should evacuate immediately, per the Madison County Sheriff's Office.

All Fredericktown R-1 campuses are remaining indoors until further notice and are following the instructions of their local emergency team. Parents or community members who choose to pick up their children at school may do so, and will not count toward that student's attendance.
