Bill Names Part of Highway After Burns

(Jefferson City, MO) State Representative Cyndi Buchheit Courtway is putting forth a bill to name a section of roadway after Bonne Terre Police Officer Lane Burns who was killed in the line of duty. Buchheit Courtway says she wants people to remember Burns' sacrifice.

According to Buchheit Courtway the bill should be heard in committee next week. The section of roadway hasn't been chosen yet. If the measure is approved, and signed by the Governor, the area named after Burns could be on Highway 67 or Highway K.
