Boil Water Advisory Lifted for Ironton Residents

Ironton, Mo. (KFMO) - Ironton residents can now safely consume tap water without boiling, as the boil water advisory has officially been lifted.

Saturday, Mayor Jeff Stinson announced that all water samples have successfully passed testing, confirming the water’s safety.

The advisory, which had been in effect since earlier in the week due to operational issues at the Ironton Water Treatment Plant, required residents to boil water for drinking and cooking. With the advisory now lifted, residents can resume normal water use.
