CASA of the Parkland Serves Area Foster Children

Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - CASA of the Parkland, a local organization that advocates for foster children, that are in the court system due to abuse and neglect, is seeking volunteers.

Volunteers spend time with these children and get to know them, developing a one-on-one relationship and getting to know what it going on in the child's life.

Executive Director Joanna Watts explains the process of becoming a CASA volunteer.

There is also a training process involved. CASA of the Parkland serves four counties, St. Francois, Washington, Ste. Genevieve, and Madison Counties.
