(Park Hills, MO) Members of the Mineral Area College Board of Trustees are announcing the ribbon cutting and grand opening of the new Industry and Technology Center on the Park Hills Campus after Thursday's Board of Trustees monthly meeting. The President of Mineral Area College, Dr. Joe Gilgour, says the event will be held Thursday, August 24th.
The grand opening for the new 80,500 square foot facility will be held from 11 to 1 and is open to the public. In other business at Thursday's MAC Board of Trustees meeting the opening of a new campus site for the college at Jackson High School was approved, the athletic department was commended for an award winning academic year, and the tax rate for the college district was set. It will stay the same at 46.08 cents per one hundred dollars assessed valuation.
