Country Days Not Rescheduled

(Farmington, MO.) The Farmington Regional Chamber of Commerce's signature event, Country Days, is canceled and will not be rescheduled. The executive Director of the chamber, Candy Hente, says with so many vendors, suppliers, bands, and other entertainment, including a midway and carnival, there was just no way the group's board members could effectively reschedule the event.

According to Hente they also looked at combining Country Days with another event in the area later in the year but that was not feasible. Hente explains it was a difficult decision to make especially since the event helps fund the chamber throughout the year plus the city of Farmington also gains sales tax revenue that it will not see this year. Hente also says although they don't know exactly what the figure would be, vendors alone are losing thousands and thousands of dollars over the cancellation. For fans of Country Days the only choice now is to wait until the summer of 2021 for another year of fun with Country Days in Farmington.
