County Jail has New Body Scanner

Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - The new body scanner in the St. Francois County Jail is working out well.

St. Francois County Sheriff, Dan Bullock, says before they were able to get the new scanner they would sometimes perform strip searches as people would enter the jail.

Bullock adds the scanner is used to detect items like weapons and drugs and can be used to scan a person's entire body easily.
