St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A single-vehicle crash on Route N in St. Francois County early Wednesday morning resulted in moderate and minor injuries for the vehicle's occupants.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that the incident occurred at approximately 7:23 a.m. when a 2005 Cadillac CTS, traveling northbound, failed to negotiate a left turn due to excessive speed for the roadway conditions. The vehicle skidded, crossed the centerline, and left the roadway, striking a utility pole guy wire before overturning and coming to rest on its roof. The driver, a 40-year-old male from Farmington, suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital South by ambulance. A 55-year-old male passenger from Bismarck sustained minor injuries and was also transported to Mercy Hospital South. The vehicle was totaled in the accident.
