Dangerous Heat for the Parkland

St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - Dangerous heat continues to build in the Parkland, and will last through Thursday.

The combination of high humidity, high temperatures, and light winds continue to produce dangerous heat index values, ranging from 105 to 110 degrees or more.

A Heat Advisory remains in effect across southeast Missouri, including St. Francois, Washington, Iron and Madison Counties. An Excessive Heat Warning remains in effect across the northern two-thirds of Missouri, Metro St. Louis, and a part of Southeast Missouri. This includes Jefferson, Ste. Genevieve, Perry and Bollinger Counties.

Both the Heat Advisory and Excessive Heat Warning will remain in effect until 7 p.m. Thursday, after multiple days of the excessive heat.
