(Farmington, MO) A man from Dittmer, 25 year old Kyle Christopher Walters, is facing five years of supervised probation after pleading guilty to first degree involuntary manslaughter charges in the accidental shooting death of 22 year old Scott Jones of Fenton. Walters made his plea in St. Francois County Court October 27th. He had been given 7 years in prison yet the sentence was suspended upon Walters successfully completing the assigned probation. Reports indicate Jones was killed in an accidental shooting in the drive thru at the Desloge Jack in the Box Sunday, March 5th. Authorities say Walters was in the back seat when the gun accidentally discharged. The bullet went through the driver's seat in front of Walters striking Jones in the back. He was pronounced dead at 7:58 am. Witnesses confirmed the story and evidence was recovered at the scene.
