EPA Officials Checking Bismarck Water Lines

Bismarck, Mo. (KFMO) - Bismarck officials are sending out letters to citizens asking for permission to check the water lines going into homes that are served by the city's water department.

Mayor of Bismarck, Seth Radford, says Environmental Protection Agency officials require towns to identify things like lead in the system.

Radford explains crews would need about 3 feet of space around a residential water meter to check the lines.

There is no cost to Bismarck residents to have crews determine the type of lines being used.
