Execution of David Hosier Completed

Bonne Terre, Mo. (KFMO) - The execution of 69-year-old David Hosier was carried out by the State of Missouri on Tuesday, June 11.

Hosier was pronounced dead at 6:11 p.m. at the Eastern Reception, Diagnostic and Correctional Center in Bonne Terre, Missouri. 

Hosier was found guilty by a jury in October 2013, for first degree murder, armed criminal action, first degree burglary and illegal gun possession in the murders of Rodney and Angela Gilpin in September 2009. He was sentenced to death in November 2013 in the murder of Angela Gilpin. 

Hosier asked Governor Mike Parson for clemency in May, however the governor denied the clemency this week. 

Hosier maintained his innocence in the double homicide.
