(Farimngton, MO) Farmington Regional Camber of Commerce members are studying several legislative accomplishments after Thursday's monthly chamber business luncheon. The featured speakers for the program were State Senator, Elaine Gannon and State Representatives Dale Wright and Mike Henderson. Gannon told the crowd Senate Bill 45, her postpartum measure, would help mother's and babies by extending medicaid coverage for low income, pregnant women.
State Representative Dale Wright said to the audience some projects in the Parkland received funding including $850,000 for sewer work at Bismarck.
State Representative Mike Henderson spoke to the crowd saying legislators addressed the closing of rural hospitals.
The 2023 Missouri Legislative session ended Friday, May 12th. The annual veto session of the Missouri Legislature will be held in September.
