Farmington Sports Complex to be Re-Dedicated

Farmington Mo. (KFMO) – The City of Farmington is renaming the Farmington Sports Complex after long-time Farmington Parks and Recreation employee, Bud Norman. A re-dedication ceremony will be held on Friday, October 4 at 4:00pm.

Norman was employed with the City of Farmington from 1977 to 2022 and worked as the Parks and Recreation Director. According to a press release from the City of Farmington, Norman was an integral part of the development of the city’s parks and recreational facilities including the development of Engler Park, Farmington Sk8 Park and numerous other recreational amenities.

The Farmington Sports Complex, located at 1100 Sainte Genevieve Avenue, consists of four baseball/softball fields, batting cages, a playground, and concessions.

After the re-dedication, crews will begin to renovate the sports complex to update concession stands, bathrooms, signage, backstops, fencing, dugouts and equipment. The City of Farmington welcomes the public to attend the ceremony.
