Fatal Crash on Laws Road Claims One Life, Injures Three

St. Francois County, Mo. (KFMO) - A fatal crash early Sunday morning on Laws Road, north of Shaker Lane, in St. Francois County claimed the life of a 19-year-old Farmington woman and left three others with moderate injuries.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 1:39 a.m. when a 2007 Scion TC driven by the Farmington woman traveled off the left side of the road and struck a tree. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:05 a.m.

Three passengers in the vehicle, all males between the ages of 18 and 20, sustained moderate injuries. Two of the passengers, an 18-year-old and a 20-year-old, both from Farmington, and a 19-year-old from Bonne Terre, were transported by Air Evac helicopter to Mercy Hospital St. Louis. Authorities reported that the driver was not wearing a safety device at the time of the crash.
