Festus Woman Seriously Injured After Being Struck by Car on Highway 67

Jefferson Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A Festus woman suffered serious injuries after being hit by a car while crossing northbound Highway 67 near Highway CC, just south of Festus, Wednesday morning, October 16.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, at around 8:42 a.m., 37-year-old Jennifer L. Gorges was walking across the highway when she was struck by a car driven by 49-year-old Amy M. Matz of Park Hills.

Gorges was transported to Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis County to be treated for her injuries. Matz, who was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident, was not injured.

The car sustained minor damage.
