Fire Crews Discussing Burn Bans

(St. Francois County, MO) Members of the St. Francois County Commission and local fire crews continue to discuss the possibility of a burn ban ordinance in the county ahead of this 4th of July weekend. Despite no burn ban yet, Fire Chief of Big River Bonne Terre Fire Protection District, David Pratte, is asking members of the community to hold off on burning unnecessary materials.

Pratte adds St. Francois County is currently in a moderate to severe drought but different readings may be available today.
