Flooding Possible from Beryl

Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - As tropical depression Beryl progresses through the Parkland Tuesday, heavy rainfall is likely to continue across the area.

National Weather Service Meteorologist Matt Beitscher says that heavy rainfall will last for quite some time.

A Flood Watch is in effect until Tuesday night at 10 p.m. Beitscher says it doesn't take much rain to cause dangerous situations for travelers.

According to Beitscher if a warning occurs, it's safest to stay home. If your home is affected by flood waters, you should seek higher ground. Next to heat, flash flooding is a dangerous killer when it comes to weather disasters.
