Four Rescued at Rockford Park

High Ridge, Mo. (KFMO) - Crews with the High Ridge Fire Protection District completed a water rescue at Rockford Park Saturday.

A 12-year-old girl and a 29-year-old woman were swimming near the bluffs on the opposite side of the river when they were overpowered by the current. They were able to hold on to a rock ledge and yell for help. Two adult males swam over to help, and they were able to get the woman and girl to the other shore, but all four required assistance from the fire protection district to return back across the river to shore.

This is the fourth water rescue this year at Rockford Park.
