Fredericktown Students Gain Ag Knowledge Through Statewide Programming

Fredericktown, Mo. (KFMO) - Fredericktown FFA members are educating younger students on how their lives are intertwined with agriculture through the Agriculture on the Move (Ag Moves) program.

During the 10-week Ag Moves program, FFA members will guide students through various topics, including crops, livestock, soil and water conservation, nutrition, and and careers in agriculture. Lessons align with state learning objectives in science, math, social students, and language arts, and include hands-on activities for the students to get involved.

Ag Moves will engage over 5,000 students across Missouri this semester, expanding the reach to over 12,000 students since 2024, made possible by partnerships with 836 FFA members, professional educators and collegiate interns. Ag Moves is funded by Missouri Farmers Care, a coalition of over 40 agriculture groups in Missouri.
