Friday Jefferson County Fatality

(Jefferson County, MO) A man from DeSoto, 48 year old Howard D. Owens, is dead after being involved in a motorcycle crash in Jefferson County Friday night at 7:15.

Highway Patrol Troopers say the crash took place as an SUV was being driven west on Route H, west of Highway 21 by 33 year old Megan E. Finch, of DeSoto. Reports show Owens was riding his motorcycle east on 21 and crossed over the centerline and smashed into the front of Finch's SUV. He was pronounced dead on the scene. Finch was not injured.

They were both wearing a safety device during the wreck.
