Head Start Awareness Month at EMAA

St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - October is Head Start Awareness Month for the East Missouri Action Agency.

Head Start is a preschool program that is provided at no cost to low-income familes and parents who are in need. Courtney Laramore, Head Start Director at the EMAA, says more people should know about Head Start, as it is a great resource.

Children are fed three meals a day, including breakfast, lunch, and a snack. Head Start starts in August and ends in May, correlating with the regular school year.
