Ironton Man Charged with DWI

(Iron County, MO) A man from Ironton, 25 year old Theron D. Crawford, is facing charges of driving while intoxicated - drugs, after he was arrested following a traffic accident Tuesday evening in Iron County. Highway Patrol reports indicate Crawford was driving east on Highway 21, 3 miles north of Highway 49, when he lost control of the pick up he was driving. The wreck took place at 7 o'clock as the truck ran off the right side of the road, crashed into a concrete culvert, and then slammed into a tree. Even though the pick up was totaled, and Crawford was not wearing a seat belt, he received minor injuries. Crawford was released from immediate custody so he could be taken to the Iron County Medical Center for medical attention.
