Jefferson County Road Rage Charges

(Desoto, MO.) A Desoto man, 36 year old Mark Casteel, is facing charges of Assault in the 1st Degree and Armed Criminal Action after an alleged road rage incident that took place near the area of Roberts Drive and Spring Drive in Desoto about 7:40 pm last Friday. According to Jefferson County Sheriff, Dave Marshak, Casteel is accused of punching a 44 year old Desoto man and then stabbing the man in the neck with a knife. The victim was flown to a local hospital where he is in serious, but stable, condition. Casteel was arrested later in the evening the night of the incident at a home in the 12,600 block of Hyfield Road in Desoto. He's being held in the Jefferson County jail on a $500,000 cash only bond.
