Jefferson Co., Mo. (KFMO) - The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, as well as other county agencies, took part in a Halloween night sex offender compliance enforcement.
Sheriff’s Deputies and officers patrolled neighborhoods on Halloween night, ensuring sex offenders are following the terms of their registration requirements.

Addresses with contact made: 66
Addresses with no contact: 14 (several of these were verified to be at work, many had no one answer door)
Addresses within compliance: 64
Addresses not within compliance: 2 (one for failing to notify of move, one for returning home after curfew due to being at nursing home visiting his mother which was verified with facility)
Hillsboro Police Department:
1 home checked, no one was home.
Arnold Police Department:
16 compliance checks with 3 violations that will be referred to the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
Festus Police Department:
30 checks, 0 Violations (Checks were done repeatedly on the houses throughout the evening)
Herculaneum Police Department:
No checks due to manpower shortage.
Byrnes Mill Police Department:
Did not observe any violations in the city limits while on patrol.
