Marez Faces Child Pornography Charges

(Farmington, MO) A man from Farmington, 31 year old Stephen Earl Raymond Marez, is facing charges of one count of promoting child pornography and three counts of possessing child pornography after an investigation by the Highway Patrol's Division of Drug and Crime Control's Digital Forensics Division. Missouri authorities became aware of the situation when they were contacted by Indiana State Police regarding a child pornography investigation involving Marez. Missouri Highway Patrol officers stopped Marez for a vehicle traffic violation July 13th. They questioned him and seized his cell phone. Video files of child pornography were discovered on the phone and Marez was arrested. He is in custody at the St. Francois County Jail with a $200,000 bond.
