Owl Creek Park Developments

St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - St. Francois County Commissioners discussed the ongoing construction at Owl Creek Park during Tuesday's regular meeting.

The commissioners approved the entry into a design contract with Cochran Engineering for Phase 2 trail design, which is continengent on the county receiving an RTP grant. The grant would not pay for the full project, but the rest of the cost would come from the county's general fund.

Park Superintendent Mike Sumpter explains the cost of the contract.

The commission also approved the addition of a full-time park maintance employee, as well as a seasonal part-time employee to the 2025 budget, for budgeting purposes only. A motion to enter a design contract with Cochran for a boat ramp was tabled to next week, pending the acquistion of more information.
