Pedestrian Death in St. Francois County

(St. Francois County, MO) A Farmington man, 50 year old Tommy E. Shafer, is dead after he was struck by a car Sunday night just after 9 o'clock at the Highway 221 on ramp to northbound Highway 67. Reports from the Highway Patrol show Shafer was walking across Highway 67 when he was struck by the front of an SUV driven north by 29 year old Breanna N. Winckel, of Bonne Terre. Shafer was transported to Parkland Health Center where he later died. Winckel was not injured.
