Pilot Knob Man in Court Appearance Soon

(Washington County, MO.) A man from Pilot Knob, 26 year old Nicholas Mickan, will be in court soon on charges related to an attempted traffic stop that turned into a pursuit in Washington County. Reports indicate a Washington County Sheriff's Deputy was trying to pull Mickan over in the area of East State Highway 47 and North State Highway 21 for a license plate discrepancy. Mickan failed to yield to the officer and continued to drive for several miles. Spike strips were deployed to stop Mickan's vehicle. It was discovered the vehicle had been reported stolen out of St. Francois County. Mickan was taken into custody and booked into the Washington County jail. Mickan is charged with first degree tampering with a motor vehicle, resisting a lawful stop, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He's also charged with several other offenses in additional cases.
