Planned Power Outage Scheduled for Farmington on October 8th

Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - Farmington residents in certain areas will experience a brief planned power outage on Tuesday, October 8, 2024.

The outage, necessary for city crews to complete improvements in preparation for the winter season, will specifically affect homes and businesses along H Highway from Icon Way to Cherry Creek Lane. The outage is scheduled to begin at approximately 9:00 a.m., weather permitting, and is expected to be completed by 9:30 a.m. Some residents in the affected areas may only experience a few minutes without power.

The streets impacted by the outage include Icon Way, Hilltop Place, Treeline, Bucking Horse, Boulder Ridge, Timber Ridge, Black Rock, Autumn Chase, Cripple Creek, Blossom Hill, and Cherry Creek.

City officials apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate the community’s patience as they work to improve the electrical infrastructure.

This will be the final planned outage required to complete the project.
