Washington Co., Mo. (KFMO) - Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe is appointing Lynn Portell, of Potosi, as the new Washington County Presiding Commissioner.
The appointment was announced Thursday, filling a vacancy in the position.
Portell is a retired utility professional with over 30 years of experience at Arkansas Power and Light, now Ameren, where he held multiple leadership roles. A lifelong resident of Washington County, he has remained active in the community, serving as board president of Pleasant Hill Christian Church for several years.
His appointment ensures continued leadership for Washington County, with Portell expected to bring his extensive experience in management and community service to the role.
