Potosi Fire Protection District Responds to Intense Residential Fire on Saturday

Potosi, Mo. (KFMO) - On Saturday, November 2, at approximately 3:40 p.m., the Potosi Fire Protection District responded to a residential structure fire, quickly escalating the call due to the intense flames visible from three sides of the building.

The first arriving crew reported heavy fire involvement, prompting a second alarm for additional manpower and assistance from neighboring departments. Thanks to the swift response and coordination among multiple departments, firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control quickly, with no injuries reported.

Assisting fire departments included Leadwood Fire Protection District, Bismarck Fire Protection District, Park Hills Fire Department, Irondale Fire Protection District, DeSoto Rural Fire Protection District, Big River Fire Protection, and Terre Du Lac Fire Department.

The Missouri State Fire Marshal was also contacted to investigate.
