State Reps Speak at Farmington Chamber Luncheon

Farmington, Mo. (KFMO)Missouri state representatives Dale Wright and Mike Henderson spoke to attendees at the latest Farmington Chamber of Commerce meeting Thursday.

Wright, who represents the 116th District, and Henderson, who represents the 117th, updated attendees about the latest legislative session. Henderson spoke on his and other representative's attempts to reform the initiative petition process.

Wright spoke about some of the items that were included in the state's $1.3 billion budget. He says one thing he's pleased about is the investment into local roads.

Henderson says changing Highway 67 to an interstate status could help drive traffic onto Highway 67 and boost area businesses, such as hotels, restaurants and gas stations along the highway's path.
