Stay Safe During Extreme Heat: Key Tips from Health Officials

Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - Health officials from the St. Francois County Health Center are urging residents to take precautions as extreme heat continues this week.

Donovan Kleinberg, the Environmental Public Health Specialist and Public Health Emergency Preparedness Coordinator, warns that heat-related illnesses can develop quickly for those who aren't prepared.

Kleinberg emphasizes the need to stay hydrated, wear light-colored clothing, and seek shade whenever possible while working or spending time outdoors in hot weather.
