Ste. Genevieve County Thursday Truck Crash

Ste. Genevieve Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A Jefferson, Indiana, man 46-year-old Suren E. Bold, is recovering from serious injuries after he was hurt in a two vehicle accident between a diesel truck and a pickup in Ste. Genevieve County Thursday afternoon a little before 3 p.m.

Missouri State Highway Patrol Troopers say both vehicles were traveling north on Interstate 55, at the 154 mile marker, when Bold's semi-truck blew a front left tire. The front of his truck crashed into the rear of a pickup driven by Richard R. Ruskey of St. Louis. Bold's truck ran off the left side of the interstate, struck the median cable barrier, came back across the southbound lanes, and smashed into a rock bluff.

Bold was flown to Mercy Hospital at St. Louis. Ruskey was not injured.
