Ste. Genevieve Man Dies in Crash

Ste. Genevieve Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A man from Ste. Genevieve, 48-year-old Peter Brandt, is dead after a diesel truck crash in Ste. Genevieve County Saturday just after midnight.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Brandt was driving the truck west on Interstate 55, at the 140 mile marker, when it ran off the right side of the highway and crashed into a billboartd sign.

Brandt, who was not wearing a seat belt during the crash, was pronounced dead at the scene.
