Stolen Vehicle Recovery Leads to Arrest in Potosi

Potosi, Mo. (KFMO) - Potosi law enforcement successfully recovered a stolen vehicle and made an arrest in connection with the case.

Officers with the Potosi Police Department were alerted to the vehicle’s location and quickly located the stolen car. The driver, identified as Jeffrey Havens, of Barnhart, was taken into custody. Further investigation revealed the presence of narcotics, prompting additional charges. A warrant has been issued for Havens, including charges of Tampering with a Motor Vehicle - 1st Degree, two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, and two counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Havens is currently being held at the Washington County Jail on a $50,000 cash-only bond. The investigation is ongoing.
