The History of Farmington Could Change

(Farmington, MO) The date of the establishment of Farmington could change according to a local historian. Dr. Ryan Johnston was the featured speaker at the Farmington Regional Chamber of Commerce meeting Thursday afternoon. He told the crowd during the demolition of the old Harrington Farms barn, located next to Parkland Health Center, they discovered DeLassus land grant information that puts the date earlier than the recognized year of 1798.

In other business at Thursday's Farmington Regional Chamber of Commerce meeting members were given a presentation by the ServPro Restoration Team. The business handles cleaning, restoration, and construction with several locations throughout the Parkland.
