The Wayfair Tax and State Income Tax

(Jefferson City, MO) One of the accomplishments of Missouri legislators, during this legislative session, was the passage of the Wayfair tax. The State Representative for the 117th District, Mike Henderson, says legislators were able to strike a good balance in the measure. It would allow an internet sales tax to help local businesses compete with companies outside the area among other benefits.

The General Assembly officially adjourned at 6 pm last Friday closing the period of the session in which bills can be passed. Those that have gained approval are awaiting Governor Mike Parson's signature before becoming law.
