Tornado Watch Issued for Parkland Region Until 11 P.M.

Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for St. Francois, Iron, Madison, Ste. Genevieve, Washington, and Jefferson Counties until 11 p.m. this evening.

Severe thunderstorms capable of producing tornadoes, damaging winds, and large hail are expected to develop across the region later today. Residents should remain weather-aware and be prepared to take shelter if warnings are issued.

A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for the development of tornadoes. If a Tornado Warning is issued, take immediate action and seek shelter in a sturdy building away from windows.
