Truman Learning Center Highlights Parents as Teachers Program

Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - At the Truman Learning Center, the Black Knight Insight group learned about the district's Parents as Teachers program, which supports families with children from birth to school age.

Assistant Superintendent Shana Turner spoke about its importance.

The program offers developmental screenings, home visits, and resources to families, serving as a foundation for early learning in Farmington. The program completes over 1,500 home visits and 700 screenings annually.

The center serves children from age 3 through kindergarten, providing structured play and early education programs, including the new midday busing service for PreK.
