Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - Unofficial results from Tuesday's municipal elections show the two proposition's for the Farmington School District came out with Proposition S, which would have increased staff salaries, helped maintain some student programs, and cover rising operational costs, while raising the district's tax levy by .30 cents per one hundred dollars assessed valuation, went down to defeat.
The district's Proposition F, that extends the current bond to expand and renovate facilities, address safety measures, and provide needed resources and updates, gained voter approval, however did not have enough percent to stay alive.
In Washington County patrons of the Potosi Schools approved Proposition C.A.R.E. to build a new Performing Arts Center, resurface the existing High School track, and purchase new band uniforms.
Other issues from the election included a sales tax proposal for Iron Mountain Lake. It was approved by voters and will help maintain services, and increase others for residents.
