Visiting Resumes at FCC After Water Main Break

Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - Visiting resumed Friday at Farmington Correctional Center after a water main break Wednesday, July 3, 2024 caused flood damage.

According to officials at FCC, the water main break has been repaired, the visiting room has been cleaned, and visiting will continue through Sunday, July 7. Because of flood damage, access to the children's area may be limited.

Maintenance crews have made the necessary water main repairs, and water service has been restored throughout the facility. The water main break flooded the visiting rooms at FCC and left part of the facility without running water.

The problem disrupted cold water operations, affecting sinks and toilets in about half of the facility.
