Washington County Fatal Accident

(Washington County, MO) A man from Farmington, 44 year old Nathan M. Waibl, is dead after the motorcycle he was riding was struck from behind while stopped in traffic on Highway 8 in Washington County. Troopers with the Highway Patrol say Waibl's motorcycle was headed west on Highway 8 at 6:49 am, just east of Northoak Road, and was stopped in traffic. 40 year old Sara E. Wilkinson, of Mineral Point, was also headed west. Reports show Wilkinson failed to notice traffic had stopped and her SUV crashed into Waibl's motorcycle from behind. The impact caused Waibl to be thrown from the motorcycle. Waibl was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a helmet when the wreck took place. Wilkinson received minor injuries and was taken to Washington County Memorial Hospital.
