Watering Plants Correctly in the Heat

Ste. Genevieve Co., Mo. (KFMO) - Hot weather demands correct watering methods for plants and vegetables.

Horticultural Specialist with the University of Missouri Extension Office in Ste. Genevieve County, Katie Kammler, says it's important to get the right amount each week.

Kammler adds it's best to water in the early morning or later evening. According to Kammler you should water low and deep to help develop the plant's root system properly.
