Betty Lou Figge

Betty Lou Figge, 77, of St. Louis, passed away on September 27th after a long and fulfilling life.

Betty was born on March 15th, 1947. She went to Bismark High School. In her early adult years, she spent some time learning Cosmetology at the Beauty School in St. Louis, Mo. One of her first jobs was at Sunshine Drapery & Interior Design where she learned about the Interior Design industry. She then dedicated 15 years to the Senior Care & Hospitality Service Industry and spent years in each of the following locations; Chesterfield Manor Nursing Home where she was a Dietitian's Aid; BrookView Nursing Home where she was the Activities Director (she loved this position and she loved so much being able to bring activity and joy to the Seniors under her care). She then worked at Mark Twain Nursing Home where she was a Nurses Aid.

Betty had many interests, passions and was skilled in many crafts. She loved animals, especially beautiful fish tanks (she loved the peace, calm and beauty of fish) and she took considerable pride in providing the best care for any animals under her care. She loved gardening; and she was extraordinary and it. She loved putting beautiful flower beds together. She was skilled at interior decorating, cooking, and sewing.

Betty married Robert Figge June 15th, 1976; they were married for 48 years. During that time, Betty was a dedicated Wife, Mother and Homemaker. They raised 3 children together; Sherry (Martin), Tammy (Harris) and Marvin (Harris).

Betty was preceded in death by her parents James and Helen Williams, her brothers Ervin, Gary, Jerry and Ricky, her sisters; Louise, Loretta, and June and a grandson Kyle Wayne Anderson.

She is survived by her Husband Robert Figge, her Children: Sherry Akers, Tammy Guess (Anthony Waters) and Marvin Harris (Sheila Kramer). Her Sisters, Joyce Carver, Doris Daniels, Judy Barlow and brother Donald Williams. Her grandchildren: Tiffany Akers (Daniel Jack), Gregory McDonald (Raven Duggar), Stephanie Harris, Devin Harris, Travis Harris, and her Great-Grandchildren: Sadi, Ava, Maverick, Jacob, and Zayden

Betty has many nieces, nephews, family, and friends that will greatly miss her and that she loved very dearly. 

Services will be held at Horton and Wampler Funeral Home of Park Hills, Wednesday Oct 2, 2024.

Visitation is 11am-2pm with a Service being held from 2pm-3pm.
